| 2 of 3 people found the following review helpful  Cheaply made but it works for now, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Dorman 911-008 Fuel Level Sensor (Automotive) I bought this fuel sensor because it was the only one that I could find on the internet that was sold seperately from a complete fuel pump assembly. I needed it to fix the erratic readings on my 2001 Chevy Impala LS (205,000 miles).In comparison to the original sensor that I was replacing, the Doorman came with much smaller guage wires, the dial gauge on which the float arm is attached looks cheap, the float arm attachment point on the original is reinforced with a rubber grommet where as the Doorman attachment point is minus the grommet. Also, the rubber collar pump gasket that's included was too thick. After mounting it around the pump assembly, I was unable to push the pump back into the top of the fuel tank mounting hole for fear of breaking the pump assembly itself. Therefor, I removed it and remounted the old collar. I would have bought an OEM part if it was available. I guess you get what you pay for. This fuel sender was $26 v.s about $175 for a complete fuel pump assembly...
